This is not a place to come and just collect a pay check. At Allegan Credit Union, we have so much fun in a meaningful way. We have fun helping our members build their credit, save for their dream home, educate our communities on how to live their best lives and challenge each other to grow in a fulfilling team environment. If you're driven by seeing others thrive this may be the place for you.
Allegan Credit Union is looking for a Full Time Universal MSR for their Allegan branch!
What is a universal MSR? To put it simply: they help members from start to finish with all needs. Not so simply: These employees are able to run a cash drawer (processing cash, checks, and other simple member transactions) as a traditional teller position does. They will also be able to build meaningful relationships with members of our Credit Union and people of our community. From these relationships, the Universal MSR will identify individualized needs and help these people gain understanding of how our products and services will help those needs. Once those needs are identified, the Universal MSR will be able to help open accounts and process loan applications. More experienced MSRs will become the go-to for business accounts, specialized accounts, mortgages, and any other member needs that can become complex.
We have developed a culture of helping and educating our members, community, and team. We require our employees to help others and be open to receiving the same kindness in return. Customer Service, Credit Union, and Cash Handling experience are a huge plus but if you genuinely like helping those around you and can keep a positive attitude and work environment even when things get tough, we will hire people without experience!
We value our employees tremendously and take an interest in helping them grow as individuals and as employees. We accomplish this with monthly coaching sessions and other informal meetings that help address areas of improvement. We expect our employees to take an interest in themselves and communicate with us on what it will take for them to succeed. Employment is a two-way street and we can only help if communication is open and transparency is kept a priority.
Universal employees in Allegan will be expected to be available from 8am to 6:30pm and will need to work 3 Saturdays a month and employees will need to have flexibility in their schedule to cover vacations, call-ins, and other scheduling situations that arise. Also know that while this position is specific to Allegan, there will be times these employees will need to travel to our other branches in Gobles and Fennville for coverage and trainings.
